Is it just me or is the Bullet Club kinda… flat these days?

Let’s be real here. the most popular faction of the last decade in wrestling, has lost its edge.

Bullet Club used to be this disruptive, destructive, uncontrollable force to be feared. Now they’re really none of those things. With a few exceptions they play more of a comedic role these days, especially when you include the house of torture. Jay White was holing things together with the sheer force of his charisma and now they seem totally rudderless.

And in some ways this is only natural, remember the faction has been going continually for the last 10 years. Things are bound to get stale after that much time, and they have.

What bullet club needs is an overhaul, a disruption – a reinvention. Not just another leader. As you know David Finlay stepped into the boss role literally moments after Jay White’s final new japan match and this has nothing to do with him specifically. I like Finlay a lot but 10 years in, another guy wearing black leather and walking out with Gedo just isn’t enough.

If you ask me, the bullet club needs to go away for a while. Have the group be mortally wounded either by infighting or a war with another faction. Bury them for just long enough for their memory to fade and for hearts to grow fonder with absence, then bring them back in a huge shock angle. Maybe with the return of a former leader like Kenny Omega.

Regardless of how it gets done, I do think bullet club has to be completely refreshed because at this point the gas tank is approaching empty.
